Robot face can get angry

This robot face ('animatronic head') was designed by David Hanson. The software was developed by the University of Bristol and drives 34 small motors that shape facial expressions (tip: Heini Withagen).

More and more real. Currently programmed. In a little while the face will copy us. Sooner or later robots will also understand what we’re telling them. That when we say ‘I’m taking out your battery’ it’s a threat, that it should be prevented and that a robot will become truly angry. Currently a toy. Later as real as a human. But after 2020, that’s true.

I think your robot is great. And will be a big help in the future! To any type of people, mostly the elderly.
But will your robot, when it gets angry really show its violence? That would not be a good exsample to the future robots.
And by the way dont go skipping to conclusions because a glitch can always happen.

no, I don´t think so. A human is angry when it feels treatened. When we would program that a robot has to defend itself against human beings with bad thoughts, than we are actually creating artificial angerness. We should thus avoid that robots will have such mechanisms. However, when robots are used in police forces, they will have such mechanisms. That´s some very interesting stuff for regulations in the future.
