World’s first Color e-paper mobile terminal

Fujitsu announced the start of consumer sales in Japan of the world’s first color e-paper mobile terminal, FLEPia, through Fujitsu Frontech’s online store “FrontechDirect”. FLEPia is the first ever mobile information terminal to feature color electronic paper (color e-paper). In addition to being lightweight and thin, the color e-paper mobile terminal features an easy-to-view 8-inch display screen capable of showing up to 260,000 colors in high-definition, in addition to being equipped with Bluetooth and high-speed wireless LAN.

I like the design of this new e-book. The question remains whether it allows for comfortable reading as the colours might only distract, of course this would also have been the case with the original hardcopy.

I tested it with the sun behind me. I have to say I am pleased with the result. Not very pleased. But just pleased. The screen is still readable

I use ebook already approximately 5 years. Listen to me: If you buy ebook only for reading - color isn’t necessary to you. The small price, the small weight convenient and the big screen, the big capacity of memory is necessary to you… And color isn’t the first necessity.
